Professor Liu Qingshan Researcher, PhD, and PhD Supervisor
Graduated from China Pharmaceutical University in 2007 with a Ph.D. in Science. Currently a faculty member at Central University for Nationalities, serving concurrently as a director of the Beijing Pharmacological Society, a standing director of the China Association of Ethnic Medicine, vice president and secretary-general of the Special Committee on Pharmaceutical Modernization and Clinical Translation, and a standing committee member of the Science Popularization Branch of the China Association of Ethnic Medicine. Also serves as an anonymous reviewer for the National Natural Science Foundation and provincial/municipal natural science foundations. Previously studied or conducted research at renowned international institutions including the Institute of Materia Medica at Peking Union Medical College (2005–2007), Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (2002–2004), Harvard Medical School, and the National Institutes of Health in the United States. In recent years, has taught nine courses. For over a decade, under the leadership of Party and government authorities, has carried out sustained research focusing on the relatively obscure field of ethnic medicine. Has successively... We have explored and established technical platforms suitable for the modernization of traditional ethnic medicines, including high-throughput screening, high-content screening, high-throughput preparation, and multi-target screening. It has shown good practical results and is being promoted domestically; it is environmentally friendly. A comprehensive sample library of multi-component formulations of traditional ethnic medicines and specialty medicinal herbs has been established, and explorations have been conducted on groups of active ingredients, clusters of bioactive compounds, and network pharmacology issues. This will facilitate the discovery of modern ethnic medicines with well-defined mechanisms, as well as safety and efficacy. It facilitates the understanding of ethnic medicines by professionals both domestically and internationally.
In recent years, with funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the 985 Project, and the Double First-Class Initiative, we have published over 100 papers in international SCI journals and domestic journals. The total impact factor of our SCI publications is approximately 100. All of these publications have involved graduate students. On the one hand, this collaboration helps cultivate high-level specialized talents in ethnic medicine; on the other hand, it promotes the internationalization and clinical translation of outstanding ethnic medicinal practices. Moreover, it provides valuable support for our institute’s discipline development and evaluation efforts.
